EP: Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you based? What do you do?

K: I’m a wardrobe stylist living in LA whose first thought every morning is, “what do I want for dinner? – because dinner is arguably the most satisfying meal of the day. You got apps; you got cocktails, you got dessert!

J: I’m Jason, I live in Los Angeles, and I’m from Orange County. I used to be a DJ, and now I host a podcast called How Long Gone with my friend Chris and do some creative consulting.

EP: What comes to mind when you think of “home cooking”? Recently, what role has cooking played in your daily routines?

J: To me, home cooking is the real stuff. It’s cooking with your heart and soul, only for the people that you love enough to welcome in your house. It’s much easier to transfer love and spirit from one person to another through food when it’s prepared at home.

EP: If you had to eat one dish for the rest of your life what would it be?

K: Oddly enough, cereal. Specifically, Banana Nut Crunch.

J: An extremely regular Turkey Sandwich... it’s the most boring of all deli meats, so it creates a blank canvas for more important flavors to shine.

EP: How does it feel to cook together? Have you learned anything about each other through the process of creating a meal?

J+K: Cooking together is cute, but we learned early on that there can be only one head chef and one sous chef for every meal. One person leads the meal, and the other is there to help with sides and clean up.

EP: What 5 ingredients, spices, or condiments could you not live without?

K: Butter, garlic, maldon, chili flake, ketchup.

J: Coffee, bread, butter, dark greens, labneh.

EP: Do you listen to anything while you cook? If so, what’s your favorite artist, album, playlist or podcast to listen to while cooking?

K: Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

J:Chet Baker songs for pasta nights, NTS Island Time playlist for outdoor BBQs, and a podcast with headphones for everything else.
