How we create our cookware

We’ve designed every Equal Parts product with responsible materials for daily use by home cooks. Our approach:

· Sets designed to work together as a system
· Dishwasher safe and oven safe (up to 450 degrees)
· Ideal for all cooktops, including induction
· Non-toxic, non-stick ceramic that’s easy to clean
· Durable, lightweight aluminum that heats up quickly
· PTFW- and PTOA-free

Taking care of your cookware

Non-stick ceramic is easy to clean, heats up quick, ideal for for healthy cooking and does not contain the harmful chemicals found in teflon.

Here are a few tips for cooking with our ceramic:

  1. Warm your cookware on low-to-medium heat.
  2. Add your cooking fat of choice. Olive oil, butter or milk. Whatever the recipe calls for. No recipe? What sounds good?
  3. Move it around to get the surface coated nice and even.
  4. Use metal accessories gently and try and avoid steel wool pads to limit any scratching. This page has a lot of useful information regarding caring for your cookware.

Why aluminum instead of stainless steel all clad?

We chose aluminum for our pots and pans. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, and, most importantly, a more recyclable material. It also heats up faster and more evenly with more precise temperature control than steel alternatives.

How should I store my cookware?

Our pots and pans and mixing bowls nest seamlessly, so you can store your cookware even in the tightest of kitchen spaces. Before storing make sure each product is nice and dry. This will keep them in their best shape.

Are your products oven safe?

Our pots and pans and baking sheet can be heated up to 450°F in the oven.

Do your handles get hot?

We designed our handles to not only feel natural in your hand but also to stay cool and dissipate heat. That said if left over a burner or in the stove make sure to wear mitts as they will get warm.

Where are your products made?

Our products are designed in Chinatown, New York + San Francisco, California and produced in Southern China.

What is coaching?

When you purchase any Equal Parts cookware set, you will get free access to our cooking coaches for 8 weeks. Our coaches are home cooks that are here to help you build intuition in the kitchen with accessible cooking tips, inspiration, and meal ideas 7 days a week. Learn more here.

How does coaching work?

When your Equal Parts products arrive at your home, your coaching access will begin. We’ll text you to get started and send our contact info so you can save it easily.

Our coaches are there for you 7 days a week to help with questions like:

· What should I make for dinner tonight?
· I'm a bit tired, what can I whip up in under 30 minutes?
· What’s the difference between a red and white onion?
· I added too much salt. What should I do next?

Coaches will also send you meal ideas and inspiration each week to help you get started and stay in the rhythm of home cooking. Misplace our phone number? Email us at help@equalparts.com.

What happens at the end of my 8 week coaching access?

8 weeks of guidance from a cooking coach is included free with every Equal Parts order, whether you buy a Complete Kitchen or our Everyday Knife. We’ll help you build your confidence and intuition in the kitchen, offering accessible ways to get started each week. And after 8 weeks, you won’t need us anymore!

Coaching is not a subscription so you will not be charged a fee after the 8 weeks.

When are coaches online?

Our coaches are available to chat 7 days a week. Weekdays 4pm-12am and weekends 12pm-12am EST.

Do I have to use coaching? Can I opt-out?

While we hope everyone engages with our coaches, we understand everyone’s cooking journey is different. You can opt-out of coaching at anytime. Simply text “stop” to our coaching phone number.

If I gift a set does the coaching guidance come with it?

Yes, 8 weeks of guidance from a cooking coach comes with every purchase including gifts. During check out, you will simply select that the purchase is a gift and we will send you an email with instructions to share with the gift recipient.

We don’t want to ruin the surprise but let us know if you would like us to pass along a message to the gift recipient. Just drop us a line at help@equalparts.com!

What happens with coaching if I buy multiple products in the 8-week timeframe?

Coaching begins with the first purchase and is limited to one account per person.

Why did we create coaching in the first place?

Simply put - cooking is good for us. It’s healthier, costs 5x less, as well as wastes less food and plastic. It's also an opportunity to reach a flow state, and can provide a meaningful small victory after a long day.

Yet, in the past few years, it’s fallen out of favor. Why? Because many of us are burnt out.

Our generation cooks at home less than any other, which makes sense given we work more and sleep less.

Equal Parts’ coaching was designed specifically to help you find the time and motivation to cook on a regular basis, even when your exhausted.

We’re here to help you get into the rhythm of the kitchen, fight burnout, and enjoy daily life.

What are your payment methods?

We currently accept all major credit and debit cards. Affirm is also an option at checkout. We are constantly looking at new payment methods. Have a suggestion? Let us know at help@equalparts.com.

How can I change or cancel my order?

Please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Our returns process was designed to let everyone try the service for 60 days with no questions asked. Simply email us at help@equalparts.com.

Where do you ship and deliver?

We currently ship to the contiguous 48 states. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or P.O. boxes. We are working on expanding these options and will let you know as soon as possible!

What are your shipping options?

We work with UPS as our delivery partner. Delivery is free with every order. All orders are processed within 48 hours and take 3-5 business days to arrive at your home.

How can I track my order?

After placing an order you should receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. You can use this tracking number to see the status of your order.

A quick tip: tracking can take up to 24 hours to update. If you don’t receive this email within an hour of placing an order please let us know at help@equalparts.com.

Orders are processed within 48 hours and take 3-5 business days by way of UPS to make their way to your home.

What is your return policy?

We have a 60 days no questions asked return policy. If you would like to schedule a return please send us a note to help@equalparts.com.

What happens if my cookware arrived damaged?

Sorry about that! Send us a note to help@equalparts.com, We will follow up right away to help you get a replacement.

How can I enter your giveaway with Misfits Market?
